WHO WE ARE

Tuesday microgrooves, the newly founded jazz trio, dropped anchor in the musical haven of Graz, Austria. The journey started in 2008, with something similar to the Esbjoern Svensson Trio and Medeski, Martin and Wood, drum and bass, Erik Satie and Claude Debussy, funk and soul. The crew consists of the captain, Wolfgang Radl (composition and bass), the engine, Norbert Wallner (composition and drums), the first officer, Jenö Lörincz (piano), and several guest musicians, such as the breathtaking lead-singer, Farina Miss, or the brilliant drummer from Brazil, Daniel Lima. After their first short voyage, tuesday microgrooves started venturing into unknown waters. They played a concert for the Grammy Award Winner and jazz pianist, Chucho Valdes, and have cooperated with the renowned visual artists of the Life Ball, ocho resotto. Later, they won the Helix Board competition (out of 800 bands!), and recorded their debut album with Ulli Pallemanns at the famous Studios 301 in Cologne, Germany. In 2010, they won second place at the Vienna Film Score competition (out of 150 entries). During 2011, they are working together with Studios 301 and the German recording magazin, and are part of an extraordinary worldwide clip project created by atmosphere media. With current singer Lena Mentschel they started in 2012 cooperation with several ensembles and orchestras (eg. studio percussion, graz salon orchestra). In 2014 they went with their new program, „recorder various“ on a taiwan tour and returned back in 2016 for a second, highly acclaimed tour. For 2016, they will deepen their cross-projects, seek for new ideas and – go back to the beginning …

During the last years, TM created several different ways to perform their own music – that lead to different musical porgramms. TM is actually working in several directions and still interested in new ways and ideas …

Working on several musical directions ment working with different artists, ensembles and companies, such as Atmosphere Media, the mallets of studio percussion or the Orchestras. TM is thankful for this huge amount of experiences  – but still hungry fro new ideas and cooperation. Feel free getting in contact with us!
